Selling your business
When it's time to sell.
We introduce owners to advisers who complete sales rather than collect upfront fees. No valuation gimmicks, and we'll tell you if now isn't the right moment.
- Success fees only
- Confidential
- Deal-size matched
- Straight answers on timing
How it starts.
Three things happen before anything is signed.
A conversation about timing
Whether now is the right moment to sell, and what the business would need to look like if it isn't.
The right adviser
An introduction matched to your deal size, not the other way round, on success-fee arrangements only.
Your decision
You contract with the adviser directly. Everything stays confidential, handled by one named person.
What we look for in an adviser.
The market is full of firms that value businesses generously, charge an upfront fee, and let listings sit. We introduce the other kind.
- Completed sales in businesses like yours
- Fees earned on completion, not on signing
- A single named person from first call to completion
Common questions.
Selling a business, answered without the sales patter.
When is the right time to sell?
When the business can show steady numbers and doesn't depend entirely on you. If now isn't the moment, we'll say so, and tell you what would change the answer.
What is a success-fee arrangement?
The adviser is paid a percentage on completion. If the sale doesn't complete, there is no fee. It keeps the adviser's interest aligned with yours.
Will anyone find out my business is for sale?
The process is handled confidentially by one named person, and buyers are approached without identifying details until you agree to share them.
Do I have to accept the valuation?
No. A valuation is an opinion about the market, not an obligation. You stay in control of what you accept.
How long does a sale take?
It depends on the business and the buyer. A good adviser sets expectations early rather than promising a date.
Do I pay Horizon anything?
You contract with the adviser directly on the terms we negotiate. We are upfront about how any arrangement is paid for before you commit to anything.
Let's find out where you stand.
A short call is usually enough to know whether we can help.
